Our school choir’s Horncastle Arena rehearsal is from 9.45am – 12.15pm on the morning of our Performance Night. This event is organized by the school and I shall be taking them.
On the night, your child is to be at Horncastle Arena by 6.30pm - better to be a little early than late.
Food: NO CHILD is allowed to leave the area to visit the Main Foyer. The children will need to be toileted BEFORE they enter the Arena.
Clothing: Jackets and sweatshirts should be left with parents as the children become overheated when performing under lights. It is preferable that watches and shiny jewellery are not worn as this sparkles in the lights and causes distraction to the audience.
Sweets: No child is to bring sweets, food or drinks unless needed because of medical reasons.
Interval: The children DO NOT come out at the half-time interval and the parents ARE NOT ALLOWED into their performance area during interval. Ice creams and other treats which parents may want to bring should be saved until after the performance has finished. Choirs must remain in the seats at the half-time interval.
At the conclusion of the Performance: Please make your own arrangements with your child as to where they will meet at the conclusion of the performance or I shall take them to the Main by the main doors to await collection. I shall remain at the CBS Arena until all your children are collected.
Meals: As the children will be in the CBS Arena from approximately 6.45pm to 9.15pm we suggest they have a sensible meal before the show (preferably not fast food) and a small amount to drink.
I shall need one parent supervisor for our choir at the CBS Arena so please let me know if you can help.
Tickets: Public sales are available through Ticketek and from the ticket office at the venue on the night. If you bought tickets through the school from Shelley earlier this term, they are ready for collection if you have not got them.
Transport :If your child has transport difficulty, try to make some arrangements with parents of other students who are in the choir. Please let me know in advance if you have problems with getting your child to the arena for the night of the performance so I can organize something, and if you can help with transport.
The Area rehearsal was excellent and I was proud of the students' behaviour and singing.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Looking forward to the actual performance.
Kind regards
Grace
