SHOULD UNIVERSITIES COST LESS?

Universities can be expensive and because of this, I feel that the costs involved should be lowered.
Firstly, the student loan scheme means that students have a lot of debt. This means it  has to be paid back  which can add up and to a lot  of money in three to four years at university.
Another reason to lower the costs of tertiary education is young adults get put off going to university. Again it  is because of the debt they will have to pay off afterwards.
Another factor is students who fail on a paper or two will have to repeat these lessons. Even more debt will be added on to their education costs.
Lastly, young adults from wealthy families are probably more likely to attend university. This is because they have the means to pay for their education and not have to go into debt. What does this mean?It means access to university is restricted to the more wealthy members of the population, which is unfair to others.
In conclusion, I hope that universities cost less in the future so many more young adults can enjoy tertiary education!

ARGUMENTS - (Contiued ...............

NO MORE WARS

Many people have died over the years in wars including women and children.

I think that there should be no more wars because the people who live in that country may have to evacuate become refugees.

Next, I think that too many people have died or their family members have died or been injured. If your dad or your mum couldn’t walk or talk, how would you feel? Sad? I thought so!

I also believe that if the other country tries to fight back, it would be disastrous! A lot more people would die or get badly hurt. There might be another world war. In this case a World War  3!

Finally, I believe that peace between countries would be better, more fun, and happier! That would be much better don’t you think?  I think it would.

If we keep on having wars the world won’t be a better place, but if we stop having wars the world WILL be a better place!

NO MORE WARS PLEASE!!!

IMPORTANCE OF GOING TO MASS
Many residents got to church on Sunday but some do not.On 23 June we celbrated our Parish and School Mass.

Do you go regularly?I think it is very important. Here are my reasons.

When you  go you  increase your belief in Jesus and know how He lived. You should also go to praise and worship Him and especially to thank him for what he has done for us.
Going to church is what helps you grow in friendship with God. Have you seen many people  not going to Mass and  living a good life?If you don’t go to church then you won’t have God inside of you forever, unlike the people who do.
Church on Sunday is an amazing place because you can talk to God and sometimes even ask him for forgiveness. You can also pray to ask Him to help you.At Mass you can focus because you are surrounded by people who believe in God. You feel good being part of a great big family. God wants us to  be at  Mass every Sunday to live the Gospel and grow more to be like  Jesus.
Going to church is really important and from now on I hope you try very hard to   attend Mass every Sunday.

Our Technology Integrated Photography Study - Term 2

In Room 5 I have provided  students with the opportunity to explore and develop an
understanding of how visual features can be used to communicate information.
The students have been on a journey to learn what makes a "good" photo, analysing and
"reading" photos, and how props, camera angles and shutter speeds are used to make images visually interesting.
It has been a rather an interesting topic for my students enabling them to have some practical experience as well with digital cameras.Pinhole  cameras has given  it a very exciting and meaningful dimension and I would like to thank the parents for helping their children in completing the challenge to complete their own. Thanks also for allowing them to use cameras from home.
Digital cameras have been  great in the classroom-  the pictures are immediate, interactive and fully engage the attention of kids especially if they are
taking their own photos.
Our blog will from now on tell you of the steps we have taken in our study.
Thanks to NIE for the excellent resource and Nick Grant (Professional Photographer) for getting us off to a great start at the beginning of the term.
