Why Maori Language Week Is Important.

Tena koutou!
We think that Maori language week is important because a majority of children in our school are Maori and also Maori people are the founders of New Zealand. Learning Maori should be a good experience because not everyone knows how to speak multiple languages and it’s a good skill to have.
One thing to do to celebrate Maori language  is by trying to learn Maori words that you don’t know how to pronounce properly.
In our school we respect and honour Maori culture.
Kia kaha.

  1. Teno Pai girls. It is important to understand Te Reo Maori and to be respectful of all cultures.
