ST ANNE'S FEAST DAY 2014

Today we celebrated  St Anne’s feast day and Grandparents' Day. Each class  prepared a song to sing or dance to. It was great to see so many of our grandparents come to the concert.
Laveton  led the assembly. Next  Railynnetta did a reading from Sirach and Psalms 103. We then  had prayers of the faithful by Paula, Tilly, Macarius, Finn and Taurean before  Mr explained a power point on St Anne.
Next Room 1 sang a funky hat song. They danced  and
smiled. Their singing was clear and beautiful. Room 2 sang  a HAPPY BIRTHDAY song.  They were having fun with some funny dance moves. Room 4 sang the Commonwealth Games song, with our New Zealand flag.

After room 4 had finished we sang a grandparents’ song with  instruments going with the beat.
Last of all room 6 had a song called Happy by Pharrell Williams. While room 6 sang  the song Amelia did her gymnastics in front.
Once each class had finished performing we finished off  with certificates being given out by Mr C. Elisah and Charlie from our class  were the lucky ones .The whole school  sang   “Do the Right Thing” for the  last item.

After play we got ice blocks. They were delicious. It has been  a good day playing sports and having fun.
Thank you St Anne  for guiding  us at chool everyday.
Happy Feast day tomorrow. Kristyl and Elisah
