Dear Parents
Students learn to write in a variety of ways in Room 5 and now have the chance of making a choice in the speech competition this term to inform, entertain or persuade. We shall be discussing how to write a speech and what it involves.. The students need to select titles they want to write about and may need some help and guidance from you. Speeches must be in their own words. They have a selection of topics ,as discussed with you at the interviews, and I shall be asking them to give me their titles soon. Here is an outline of how the speeches will be judged. I am sure the following guidelines will help with your child’s speech preparation.
