Junior Neighbourhood Support Leaders’ Report - Term 2

Last Friday Andrea Habberfield from Junior Neighbourhood Support came to our school to give out some awards accompanied by Kelvin from the New Zealand Fire Service .First Andrea took a quick look at the J.N.S display in the school foyer . She was stunned at  the  display to advertise J.N.S.
Then at assembly Kelvin (A Fire-fighter)said a few words about where the ideal place to place your fire alarms and how to check it works. After that Andrea gave out the awards to Sam, Harley and Jamal for cleaning the school P.E shed and Finn got one for finding a wallet and handing it  to the office. Last but not least ,Zana got an award for raising money for the Solomon Islands flood. Some of the activities she did to raise money were, a bake sale with her mum at Riccarton market, walk from the city to New Brighton and attempted to break the world record at burpies.

Andrea is very impressed with  our school. Finn and I would encourage you to look out for outstanding service to others and nominate students involved -  next term.
