Dear Parents
Students
learn to write in a variety of ways in Room 5 and now have the chance of making
a choice in the speech competition this term to inform, entertain or persuade. We
have discussed how to write a speech as I mentioned to you at the interviews
last week. The students have selected titles they want to write about and may
need some help and guidance from you. Speeches must be in their own words.
Here
is an outline of how the speeches will be judged. I am sure the following guidelines
will help with your child’s speech preparation. Speeches will be heard at the
end of next week .First place getters will speak at assembly in week 9.
