PRACTISING UNCONSCIOUSNESS

We then practised what we would do if someone is unconscious.

We have  to use DRSABC (Doctors' ABC).

IF SOMEBODY FALLS OFF A CHAIR AND IS UNCONSCIOUS: FOLLOW THESE STEPS……….

1. Danger: Put everything away so it is safe.

 2. Response: Try and wake up the patient by shaking they’re shoulder and yelling at the patient.

3.Send for Help: Call an ambulance if the patient doesn’t  wake up.

4. Airway: Make sure that the tongue isn’t blocking the air way so use the head tilt -  chin lift so the tongue doesn’t block the airway. 5.Breathing: Check if the patient is breathing by putting your ear near the nose and try to feel the air.

6.Circulation: Check if there is  bleeding and in case the patient vomits, put the knee up and arm across the person  and pull him towards you and wait for the ambulance.

  1. Well done Room 5 for what you have learnt and achieved from your training and practices. You children are very smart. I am very surprised that you can learn that much at your age. I hope that you will all continue to learn and practice those skills in your every day lives. Thank you teachers and those involved in organizing these training for our children.
