THE WATER CYCLE

A water cycle goes in a circle over and over again.

If we start with, precipitation (that’s rain) it falls and goes  into the sea. Next the sun softly sucks up the water called evaporation  . This water vapour which rises to form rain  clouds . When the clouds become too heavy which is condensation, it will suddenly start to rain.

The water cycle goes round and round and it never ever ends.

So ii In the water  cycle there are three steps evaporation, condensation  and  BIG HEAVY RAIN CLOUD called precipitation.

HURRICANES

Hurricanes are huge disastrous storms. They are big storms that can cause a lot of damage. Hurricanes don’t happen very often but when they do they are very damaging, especially when it hits land.

Hurricanes are formed in warm air, strong winds and heavy rain. The huge force of wind, rain can be a lot dangerous. They start in the oceans and move towards land. Once on land they  can kill people ,animals and  destroy food crops and other plants.

Hurricanes take a very long time until it passes over and it can still take a week for it to die down completely.

I hope we do not have any hurricanes in Christchurch because we have had lots of damage from earthquakes.
