WELCOME BACK!
I am certain you all had a lovely term break and the children are looking forward to being
back at school.I have had a great
holiday in my homeland , Fiji ,celebrating my daughter- Neha’s wedding.
Lots of exciting things are happening this term starting with our
assembly next Friday and I hope to see you all there. Feel free to discuss anything you wish concerning your children
- just arrange a time. Once again I look forward to parent help and support
this term.
I hope the
children will continue to work on becoming self-motivated learners and develop this responsibility with a
positive attitude. I shall endeavour to do the best I can to ensure their
progress in all areas. The assertive
discipline policy in my class is designed to help those children who need help in acquiring appropriate behaviours
but I have an awesome bunch of students.
The big concept
that weaves through all our learning is REMEMBRANCE which means that most, if not all of our
studies, will be around this theme.
LONGTERM PLAN
RE- We shall
start with Easter lessons and
Traditional Prayer from the Prayer Module.
The Saints Strand –Mary ,and the Sacrament Strand,
Confirmed with the Spirit, will be taught as they integrate well with the theme
of REMEMBRANCE .
Do continue to take part in the home activities
which need to be completed on a regular basis to keep you informed of the faith
development of your children at school.
The Ascension and Pentecost will be the foci of study from the Liturgical
Year Module.
RE
exercise books will be sent home on a regular basis with home activities to be completed requiring your input. This
exercise allows you to support the learning that happens in class. It is
important that you sign each activity on completion and write a comment at the
end of the study in each strand.
