Anna-Naina and Macarius Celebrate Birthday Number 10.
"I will now try and improve in all subjects at school ,especially Maths. At home I am going to obey my parents more, "says Anna-Naina.
" I am going to act my age by being more responsible and take big steps to improve my learning at school and at home," Macarius told Mrs Reddy.
DAY 6 - SWIMMING IN PYJAMAS.
Swimming was different today because it was about water safety. We swam in our PJs to feel how difficult it can be in water with lots of clothes on.
Take off your clothes to feel lighter in water.
It was a fun experience but we learned to always wear a life jacket.

SWIMMMING - LOG Monday 23 March - Friday 27 March
DAY ONE
At 2pm we left school for Pioneer Stadium to learn to swim. We got changed in a different room upstairs and went to the big pool to show our tutors how far we could swim. Most of us went back to the small pool to learn free style using our arms.
Our goal tomorrow is to listen to improve our arm strokes and kicking.
Reported by Charlie, Macarius, Levy and Salu.

BEING HEART SMART
The students were involved in a Nutrition study for the first half of today .It was taken by Chloe from the Heart Foundation who gave the students valuable information on healthy eating and exercise. Now that the students are very well informed ,I sincerely hope that they will make healthy choices - it is up to them and I am sure parents will support them.
The students will be telling you more about this.
I would also like to thank Greg ,the manager of New World Super-Market In Woolston for giving the students an opportunity to browse and carry out practical activities reading food labels in his store.
It was a great experience.
Every one of the students loved the free lunch box, apple and nectarine-thanks for your generosity.
